Vorrei aggiornarti sul progetto delle [[mw:Special:MyLanguage/Reading/Web/Desktop_Improvements|migliorie all'IU desktop]] al quale il Web team della Wikimedia Foundation sta lavorando da un paio d'anni.

L'obiettivo del progetto è quello di rendere l'interfaccia più accogliente e accessibile sia per i lettori che per i contributori esperti. Il progetto consiste in una serie di migliorie delle funzionalità che rendano più facile leggere e capire, navigare tra le pagine, fare ricerche, passare da una lingua all'altra, usare i tab delle voci e il menu utente e altro ancora.

Le migliorie sono già visibili di default per i lettori e i contributori di [[mw:Desktop_Improvements/it#Elenco_dei_wiki_adottanti_precoci_(wiki_di_test)|oltre una ventina di wiki]], incluse le wikipedie in [[:fr:|francese]], [[:pt:|portoghese]] e [[:fa:|persiano]]. 

I cambiamenti riguardano solo l'interfaccia [{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAMEE}}|useskin=vector}} Vector]. Gli utenti di [{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAMEE}}|useskin=monobook}} Monobook] or [{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAMEE}}|useskin=timeless}} Timeless] non sono coinvolti.

We have been working on it for the past three years. So far, it has been the default on more than 30 wikis, including sister projects, all accounting for more than 1 billion pageviews per month. On average [[phab:T317529#8246686|87% of active logged-in users]] of those wikis use Vector 2022.

It would become the default for all logged-out users, and also all logged-in users who currently use Vector legacy. Logged-in users can at any time switch to [[Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering|any other skins]]. No changes are expected for users of these skins.
