Greetings for the Holi festival! CIS-A2K is glad to announce a campaign cum photography contest, Pune Nadi Darshan 2022, organised jointly by Rotary Water Olympiad and CIS-A2K on the occasion of ‘World Water Week’. This is a pilot campaign to document the rivers in the Pune district on Wikimedia Commons. The campaign period is from 16 March to 16 April 2022.

== Announcing Indic Hackathon 2022 and Scholarship Applications ==

Dear Wikimedians, we are happy to announce that the Indic MediaWiki Developers User Group will be organizing [[m:Indic Hackathon 2022|Indic Hackathon 2022]], a regional event as part of the main [[mw:Wikimedia Hackathon 2022|Wikimedia Hackathon 2022]] taking place in a hybrid mode during 20-22 May 2022. The event will take place in Hyderabad. The regional event will be in-person with support for virtual participation. As it is with any hackathon, the event’s program will be semi-structured i.e. while we will have some sessions in sync with the main hackathon event, the rest of the time will be upto participants’ interest on what issues they are interested to work on. == Extension of Pune Nadi Darshan 2022: A campaign cum photography contest ==

Dear Wikimedians,

As you already know, [[c:Commons:Pune_Nadi_Darshan_2022|Pune Nadi Darshan]] is a campaign cum photography contest on Wikimedia Commons organised jointly by Rotary Water Olympiad and CIS-A2K. The contest started on 16 March on the occasion of World Water Week and received a good response from citizens as well as organisations working on river issues.
 
Taking into consideration the feedback from the volunteers and organisations about extending the deadline of 16 April, the organisers have decided to extend the contest till 16 May 2022. Some leading organisations have also shown interest in donating their archive and need a sufficient time period for the process. 

We are still mainly using these topics which are mentioned below.

* Religious &amp; cultural places around rivers in Pune district

The Movement Strategy and Governance team is looking for community members to serve as election volunteers in the upcoming Board of Trustees election.

The idea of the Election Volunteer Program came up during the 2021 Wikimedia Board of Trustees Election. This program turned out to be successful. With the help of Election Volunteers we were able to increase outreach and participation in the election by 1,753 voters over 2017.  Overall turnout was 10.13%, 1.1 percentage points more, and 214 wikis were represented in the election. 

There were a total of 74 wikis that did not participate in 2017 that produced voters in the 2021 election. Can you help increase the participation even more?

Election volunteers will help in the following areas:
* Translate short messages and announce the ongoing election process in community channels
* Optional: Monitor community channels for community comments and questions

Volunteers should:

* Maintain the friendly space policy during conversations and events
* Present the guidelines and voting information to the community in a neutral manner

== June Month Celebration 2022 edit-a-thon ==

Dear Wikimedians,

CIS-A2K announced June month mini edit-a-thon which is going to take place on 25 &amp; 26 June 2022 (on this weekend). The motive of conducting this edit-a-thon is to celebrate June Month which is also known as pride month.

This time we will celebrate the month, which is full of notable days, by creating &amp; developing articles on local Wikimedia projects, such as proofreading the content on Wikisource if there are any, items that need to be created on Wikidata [edit Labels &amp; Descriptions], some June month related content must be uploaded on Wikimedia Commons and so on. It will be a two-days long edit-a-thon to increase content about the month of June or related to its days, directly or indirectly. An Election Compass is a tool to help voters select the candidates that best align with their beliefs and views. The community members will propose statements for the candidates to answer using a Lickert scale (agree/neutral/disagree). The candidates’ answers to the statements will be loaded into the Election Compass tool. Voters will use the tool by entering in their answer to the statements (agree/neutral/disagree). The results will show the candidates that best align with the voter’s beliefs and views.

Here is the timeline for the Election Compass:

* July 8 - 20: Community members propose statements for the Election Compass
* July 21 - 22: Elections Committee reviews statements for clarity and removes off-topic statements
* July 23 - August 1: Volunteers vote on the statements
* August 2 - 4: Elections Committee selects the top 15 statements
* August 5 - 12: candidates align themselves with the statements
* August 15: The Election Compass opens for voters to use to help guide their voting decision

The Elections Committee will select the top 15 statements at the beginning of August. The Elections Committee will oversee the process, supported by the Movement Strategy and Governance (MSG) team. MSG will check that the questions are clear, there are no duplicates, no typos, and so on.

मुखर्जिः ब्रिटिश्भारतस्य वङ्गराज्ये मिरटिप्रदेशे जन्म प्राप्तवान् । तस्य पिता कामद किङ्कर मुखर्जि भारतीयराष्ट्रियकाङ्ग्रेस्पक्षस्य सदस्यः आसीत् । भारतीयस्वातन्त्र्यसङ्ग्रामे गृहीतभागेन तेन दशाधिकवर्षाणि यावत् ब्रिटिशकारागृहे जीवनं यापितम् । प्रणबस्य माता राजलक्ष्मी मुखर्जि । तस्य अग्रजा अन्नपूर्णा मुखर्जि । 
प्रणबः सुरि (बिर्भम्) नगरस्थे सूरिविद्यासागरमहाविद्यालये अध्ययनम् अकरोत् । अयं महाविद्यालयः [[कोलकाता|कल्कत्त]]विश्वविद्यालयव्याप्तौ विद्यते । सः इतिहासं, राजनैतिकविज्ञानं च अधीत्य कलापदवीं प्राप्तवान् । कलकत्ताविश्वविद्यालयतः न्यायशास्त्रे अपि पदवीं प्राप्तवान् । २०११ तमे वर्षे वोल्वर्हाम्प्टन्-विश्वविद्यालः गौरवडाक्टोरेट्पदविप्रदानपूर्वकं तस्य सम्माननम् अकरोत् । २०१२ तमस्य वर्षस्य मार्चमासे अस्सम्विश्वविद्यालयः गौरव-डिलिट्पदव्या तस्य सम्माननम् अकरोत् ।

प्रणब् मुखर्जि भारतस्य त्रयोदशः राष्ट्रपतिः अस्ति ।  सः षष्ट्ठिवर्षेभ्य: राजकीयक्षेत्रे कार्यं कुर्वन् अस्ति । सः अखिलभारतकाङ्ग्रेस्पक्षस्य ज्येष्ठतमः नेता अस्ति । भारतसर्वकारस्य बहुषु विभागेषु मन्त्री पदवीम् अलङ्कृतवान् अस्ति । अपि च बहुषु अवसरेषु काङ्ग्रेस्पक्षस्य समस्यापरिहारक: अस्ति: । १९६९ तमे वर्षे प्रधानमन्त्री-[[इन्दिरा गान्धी|इन्द्रागान्धिवर्याया:]] काले प्रणब् मुखर्जि काङ्ग्रेस्पक्षस्य प्रतिनिधित्वेन राज्यसभायाः निर्वाचने विजयम् प्राप्तवान् । तदनन्तरकाले मुखर्जि इन्द्रायाः विश्वासयुक्तपात्रेषु अन्यतम: अभवत् । १९७३ तमे वर्षे मन्त्रिसभायाम् मन्त्रीपदवीम् अपि प्राप्तवान् । बहुषु विभागेषु मन्त्री अपि भूत्वा प्रथमवारम् निधिमन्त्रित्वेन १९८२-८४ पर्यन्तम् आसीत् । मुखर्जि राज्यसभाया: नेत्रुत्वम् अपि १९८० त: १९८५ पर्यन्तम् वोढवान् आसीत् । 
[[राजीवगान्धिः|राजीवस्य]] काले  प्रणबस्य प्राधान्यं न्यूनं जातम् । इन्द्रायाः मरणानन्तरम् अनुभवहीनस्य राजीवस्य अध: कार्यम् कर्तुम्  अनुत्सुख: आसीत् प्रणब् वर्यः । १९८४ तमेषु  वर्षेषु कामपि अधिकारयुक्तपदवीमपि न प्राप्तवान् । अत: स: स्वयम् &quot;राष्ट्रीयसमाज्वादि-काङ्ग्रस्” नाम नूतनम् एकम् पक्षम् आरब्धवान् । १९८९ तमे वर्षे पुन: राजीवेन साकम् वार्तालापम् कृत्वा अखिलभारत-काङ्गरेस् पक्षेण सहैव राष्ट्रीयसमाज्वादि काङ्ग्रेस्स् पक्षमपि योजितवान् । यदा [[पी वी नरसिंहराव|पी.वी. नरसिम्हराव:]] प्रधानमन्त्री अभवत् तदा मुखर्जे: राजकीयदशाया: पुनरुत्थानम् अभवत् ।  सः १९९१ तमे वर्षे प्रणबाय भारतस्य योजना मन्डल्याः नेतृत्वम् कल्पितवान् । अनन्तरकालेषु  प्रणब: काङ्रस्पक्षस्य प्रधानसदस्यः भूत्वा  [[सोनिया गान्धी|सोनियागान्धि]] वर्यायै(राजीवस्य पत्नी) राजकीयप्रवेशस्य कारणकर्तृषु अन्यतम: अपि आसीत् १९९० तमेषु  वर्षेषु । काङ्ग्रस्पक्ष: यु.पी.ए सम्योजनेन शासनाधिकारम् २००४ तमे वर्षे  प्राप्तवन्त: । तस्मिन्समये प्रणब: य: तावत् पर्यन्तम् सर्वजन नेता नासीत् स: लोकसभा निर्वाचने विजयम् प्राप्तवान् । तदारभ्य २०१२ तमे वर्षे तस्य पदवी त्यागपर्यन्तम्  [[मन्मोहनसिंह्| मन्मोहनसिम्हस्य]] शासने प्रधानमन्त्रे: अनन्तरम्  स्थानम्  प्रणबस्य एव आसीत् ।  स: बह्व्य: पदव्य; वोढवान् अस्ति- रक्षणमन्त्री (२००४-०६) , बाह्यसम्बन्ध मन्त्री (२००६-२००९) , निधिमन्त्री (२००९-२०१२) । एतत् विहाय लोकसभायाः प्रतिनिधित्वमपि तेन वोढम् । तदनन्तरम् २०१२ तमे वर्षे यु.पी.ए.पक्षत: एव भारतस्य राष्ट्रपतित्वम् प्राप्तुम् आवेदितवान् । मुखर्जि सरलतया एव पी.ए .सङ्मा्वर्येणसह राष्ट्रपतिभवन प्राप्ति स्पर्धायाम् ७०% मतानि प्राप्य विजयम् प्राप्तवान् ।

मुखर्जि तस्यौद्यगम् कल्कत्ता नगरस्य पत्राचारविभागे(पोस्टल् ऽ टेलिग्राफ़् ) उप-गणक प्रतिनिधि (डेपुटीअकोन्टन्ट् जेनेरल्) कार्यालये  उच्च-विभाग-कार्यदर्शी (अप्पेर् डीविशन् क्लेर्क्) रूपेण आरब्धवान् । १९६३ तमे वर्षे विद्यानगर महविद्यालये राजकीयवैज्ञानम् अध्यापयितुम् आरब्धवान् । अपि च सः “ देशट् दक्”(मातृभूमेः आह्वानम्”) इत्यस्याम् पत्रिकायाम् पत्रिकाकारः अपि आसीत् राजकीयक्षेत्रे प्रवेशात् पूर्वम् ।

मुखर्जि अखिलभारतकाङ्गरेस्पक्षस्य राजकीये १९६९ तमे वर्षे प्रवेशितवान् ।  सः मिट्नपूर् नगरे कृष्णमेनोन् नाम एकस्य प्रमुखस्यकृते निर्वाचनसमये प्रचारम् सम्यक् तया निर्वहणम् कृतवान् । तत्र विजयम् अपि प्राप्तवान् । तस्मिन् समये भारतस्य प्रधानमन्त्रीत्वेन,काङ्गरेस्पक्षस्य नेतृत्वेनापि श्रीमति इन्द्रा्गान्धि: आसीत् । सा प्रणबस्य चातुर्यम् अवगत्य तम् काङ्ग्रेस्स्पक्षे योजितवती ।  इन्द्रा राज्यसभायाम् (उच्च सभा) काङ्गरेस्पक्षत: एकम् स्थानम् १९६९ तमे वर्षे जूलै मासे प्रणबाय दत्तवती । अनन्तरकालेशु मुखर्जि १९७५,१९८१,१९९३,१९९९ वर्षेषु निर्वाचनेषु विजयम् प्राप्तवान् ।
प्रणब: १९७८ तमे वर्षे जनुवरि मासे काङग्रेस्कार्यकर्तृगणस्य सदस्य: अभवत् । समान वर्षे एव काङ्गरेस्पक्षस्य मध्यराज्यसभा गणस्यापि सदस्य: अपि अभवत् । मुखर्जी अ.भा.काङ्गरेस्पक्षस्य ,अ.भा. काङ्ग्रेस् मण्डल्या: कोशाधिकारि अपि आसीत् १९७८ तमे वर्षे ।

जूलै मासे २५ दिनाङ्के यदा मुखर्जी राष्ट्रपति पदवी स्वीकरणार्थम् सत्यप्रतिज्ञाम् कुर्वन्नासीत् तदा अन्नाहसारे गणस्य सदस्या: तस्योपरि उत्कोचविषयक प्रमाणानि सन्ति इति तम् वयम् प्रकाशयामः इत्यपि घोषितवन्त: । अस्माकम् भारतदेशे उत्कोचस्वीकरणारोपयुक्त प्रधानमन्त्रि: पूर्वमेवास्ति । अधुना राष्ट्रपति: अपि। किन्तू हसारे गणस्य सदस्या: अर्विन्द्केज्रिवाल्वर्य: इतोपि प्रमाणानि न प्रकाशितवान् ।

==बाह्यसम्बन्ध मन्त्री==
मुखर्जि  भारतस्य बाह्यमन्त्रित्वेन १९९५ तमे वर्षे नियुक्त:  । १९९६ वर्ष पर्यन्तम्  तस्याम्  पदव्याम्  आसीत् । स: २००६ तमे वर्षे  पुनरपि  ताम्  पदवीम्  प्राप्तवान् ।  तस्मिन्  काले अमेरिक-भारत &quot; सिविल् न्यूक्लियर् अग्रिमेन्ट् &quot;  हस्ताङ्गनाय तेन बहु कार्यम् कृतम् । मुखर्जि तदर्थम् अमेरिक सर्वकारेण सह ,अणु वितरणगणेण सह(न्युक्लियर् सप्लैयर्स् ग्रूप्) सह कार्यम् कृतवान् । २००८ तमे वर्षे मुम्बै आक्रमणानन्तरम् मुखर्जि पाकिस्थान् विरुद्ध मनोभावम्  लोकदेशेषु आनेतुम् तस्मिन् विषये प्रचारम् कृतवान्नस्ति । सः तदनन्तरम् भारतस्य निधिमन्त्री पदवी स्वीकरार्तम्  एताम् पदवीम् परित्यक्तवान् ।
==निधिमन्त्री==
प्रणब् मुखर्जि  इन्द्रागान्धिवर्यायाः काले प्रथमवारम् वारम् १९८२ तमे वर्षे  निधिमन्त्री आसीत् । सः १९८२-८३ तमे वर्षे प्रथम आय-व्यय-गणना पत्रम् समर्पितवान् । तेन पत्रेण भारतस्य निधि वर्धनमपि अभवत् । ततः मुखर्जी सर्वेषाम् विशेषश्रद्धाम् प्राप्तवान् ।  मुखर्जि १९८२ तमे वर्षे “ रिसर्व् बेङ्क् आफ़् इन्डिया” सम्स्थाया: अध्यक्षरूपेण मन्मोहन्सिम्हम् नियुक्तवान् । मुखर्जि अम्बानि-वडिया विषये दोषारोपम् प्राप्तवान् ।

२०१० मध्ये श्रीकोविन्दस्य विरुद्धम् आक्षेपः जातः आसीत्। सः उक्तवान् आसीत् यत्, इस्लाम, क्रिश्चानिटी च धर्मयोः अनुयायिनः वैदेशिकाः सन्ति इति। तस्मिन् समये सः भाजपस्य प्रवक्ता आसीत्। समाचारपत्रानुसारं सः रामनाथमिश्रसमित्यै प्रत्युत्तरं दातुम् उक्तं निवेदनं कृतवान् आसीत्। सा समितिः राज्यसर्वकारीयवृत्तिषु धार्मिकस्य, भाषाकीयस्य आरक्षणस्य च कृते १५ प्रतिशतानि आरक्षणस्य संस्तुतिम् अकरोत्। यद्यपि समनन्तरमेव वार्तावाहिनीषु समस्या इयं चर्चिता यत्, विरोधिनः तस्य वचनस्य दुस्सन्दर्भं तु न स्व्यकरोत्? यतः सः उक्तवान् आसीत् यत्, इस्लाम, क्रीश्चानीटी च उभौ धर्मौ (जातेः) विदेशिन्यौ स्तः इति धारणा अस्ति। परन्तु विरोधपक्षः तस्य विपरीतार्थम् अकरोत् इति।
