Though he is an English teacher by profession, out of his love for literature he learned prosody and started writing poetry. He dedicated the shatakam titled "Maruvaleni Ninnu Matrumurthi" to his own mother. He is also gaining expertise across multiple genres including children's rhymes, free verse poetry, stories, and ghazals. He secured second place in the state-level free verse poetry competition conducted by Dharmashastra. He won an award in the Manchupalli Satyavati Memorial Children's Story Competition and received the prize from the hands of the late Gollapudi Maruti Rao. He also received certificates of appreciation for his literary works through the Naram Shetti Bala Sahiti Peetham. He participated in the Telugu Rakshana Vedika gatherings in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam, wrote excellent poetry on the Telugu language, and received certificates of appreciation from dignitaries. He has also actively participated in several avadhanams. For the past decade he has been serving literature through the programs of Saluru Sahiti Mitra Brundam. He has received appreciation from literary personalities of Kaumudi Parishat, Andhra Pradesh Language and Cultural Department, Sahityoohalari, Uttarandhra Writers Forum, and Vizianagaram District Writers Association, among others. He received the Rotary Club Nation Builder Award - 2018 in Saluru. He has also participated in the service activities of Lions Club and Inner Wheel Club. Having developed a passion for music, Srinivasa Rao also learned Sarali Swarams from Sri Ramlal Baba. He published a ghazal collection titled 'Viswaghazals'. To help children learn English easily, he created a book titled "Kriya Pada Nighantuvu" with 1000 verbs in Telugu alphabetical order. He also taught English free of cost for some time at the Saluru Navajeevan Orphan Children's Service Center. By participating in events like Sankranti celebrations, Ugadi celebrations, and Krishna Pushkarams, he earned the appreciation of prominent poets in Vizianagaram district.
