Description |
Español: El Escudo Nacional Mexicano. Su diseño corresponde a la leyenda de la fundación de la Gran Tenochtitlan en la cual, los aztecas, por orden de su dios Huitzilopochtli, se establecieron en el centro de Mesoamérica (el centro de México) al encontrar un águila devorando una serpiente. Está conformado por un águila real devorando a una serpiente sobre un nopal en un islote en el centro de un lago.
English: Coat of Arms of Mexico. It's design was inspired by an Aztec legend regarding the founding of Tenochtitlan. In the legend, the Aztecs established in in Mesoamerica when, as commanded by their god Huitzilopochtli, they found an eagle devouring a snake, perched atop a cactus that grew on a rock submerged in a lake.
