Consecutive integer

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Consecutive integers are integers that follow each other in order. They have a difference of "1" between every two number.

If n is an integer than n, n+1, n+2 will be consecutive integers.

Examples:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2

1004, 1005, 1006

[edit] Odd Consecutive Integers

Odd consecutive integers are odd integers that follow each other. They have a difference of "2" between every two number.

If n is an integer than 2n+1, 2n+3, 2n+5 will be odd consecutive integers.

Examples:

3, 5, 7, 9

-23, -21, -19, -17, -15, -13

123, 125, 127

[edit] Even Consecutive Integers

Even consecutive integers are even integers that follow each other. They have a difference of "2" between every two number. If n is an integer than 2n, 2n+2, 2n+4, 2n+8 will be even consecutive integers.

Examples:

4, 6, 8, 10

-2, 0, 2, 4, 6

-120, -118, -116
