A cube is a block with all right angles that is the same size in height, width and depth.

The sides of a cube are squares. The edges are straight lines. The corners (vertices) are at right angles.

There are 8 corners, 12 edges and 6 sides.

The volume of a cube is the length of the edge (let's call this length "d", as shown in the drawing) multiplied by itself three times: d x d x d.

A cube is one of the simplest mathematical shapes in space, and something that is shaped like a cube is sometimes referred to as cubic.
