Georgia O’Keeffe (1887 November 15-1986 March 6) was an American artist.

She is mainly known for her paintings. These paintings combine abstract and concrete elements. Concrete means that something can be recognized. For example, she painted flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones and landscapes. Abstract means that there may be colors and forms, but nothing real can be recognized.
