A motorcycle is a vehicle, ridden for transportation. It does not have 4 wheels like a car. It has 2 wheels like a bicycle. But it has a motor like a car.
In modern day times, motorcycles (bikes) are used for both, transportation and also extreme sporting. Since motorcycles are much lighter than cars, it has the ability to accelerate much quicker. You get on road-bikes which are normally licensed by the traffic department and for a person to use it, you require a special type of drivers licence. Off-road bikes are not permitted to be ridden within traffic on the road. Speed and stunts are the main aim for off-road bike sporting. On-road bikes are much faster than off road bikes and are used in sports like formula one racing.
