Aphex Twin

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aphex Twin is a music maker that lives and works in the United Kingdom. He is very famous for making electronic music (this means that he does not use instruments like guitars and pianos to make it).

Aphex Twin is not his real name. His real name is Richard David James. He uses the name Aphex Twin to remember his twin brother, who was stillborn, but given the same name.

[edit] Biography

He was born in Limerick, Ireland, but he grew up in Cornwall. He started to make music when he was a teenager. In 1991, he formed a record label (a company that is made of many music makers so they can sell their music) called Rephlex Records.

Because he became famous, James moved to London. This was so he could be in a place that was closer to other people.

James still makes a lot of music today.
