From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello, Browne34, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! --Menasim( discuss | ) 06:12, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion

[edit] It happened...

again!  :_(

Weird... I didn't actually revert it, I used something like place this version, so it works with the oldid and that stuff... even stranger: the summary, it says "Reverted edits to version 331289" the oldid is 216.208.8.232's version, but "[...] by Alexbonaro".

..Sorry. FrancoGG ( talk ) 15:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem, weird things happen. I really do appreciate your handling of vandalism (you do quite a bit), and I didn't mean to get in your way (if I did). I'm sure these things happen every once in awhile, especially when multiple pages need attention. :) Thanks, Browne34 15:37, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] King Of Germany deletion

Well, the truth is, we waited for a long time and only two votes were made. Since the discussion was leaning on delete, we had to delete it. The latest revision that I can recall at this moment was that the page was a redirect to another article. Thanks!-- Tdxiang 08:56, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Substituting warnings

Please substitute warning templates. Thanks. J Di 19:20, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] sorry

will use the sandbox

[edit] Re: Thanks

Good Work to you, too! It's incredible the amount of vandalism in a small Wikipedia like this. More vandalfighters are needed, we still have to ask stewards, sometimes :P

[edit] des mots qui blessent

On the violence link, "des mots qui blessent" is not translated. You may ask for a translation at the English Wikipedia's reference desk or you may translate the phrase by yourself. Coffsneeze 19:10, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

You got me good... this is perhaps the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. :)  BrownE34  talk  contribs  13:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Inappropriate userpages

Hello, Browne34. Yes, we will delete userpages of vandals and inappropriate userpages and, in some cases, users who post too much personal information will also have their page deleted or selectively restored (provided that the information is not fake, like KA, who used a fake identity). Thanks a lot!-- Tdxiang 09:18, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
