Canidae
From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Canidae is a family of carnivorous and omnivorous mammals of the order Carnivora. Animals that belong to Canidae are called canids.
Examples of canids are dogs, wolves, foxes, coyotes, and jackals.
Some people call all these animals canines, but it is wrong. Dogs, wolves, coyotes and others are canines. Foxes are vulpines.
