Dian Fossey

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dian Fossey (1932-1985) was an American-born biologist. She is most famous for studying gorillas in Africa. She contributed a lot to the scientific world with what she found out about the gorilas, but some locals did not like her because she didn't want them in zoos or to be killed and she was brutally murdered. Many people all over the world now consider a hero for what she did, to help gorillas. Her face was sliced by a matchet, many people think poachers did this but this is still a mystery.
