Soxhlet extractor

A Soxhlet extractor is a piece of glass apparatus invented in 1879 by Franz von Soxhlet. It has a flask, an extraction chamber and a condenser and is used in chemistry to remove materials with low solubility from a solid using a solvent e.g. ether or alcohol.
