From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Angelo Freeland (died September 28 2006) was an American criminal. While stopped by police in Florida, Freeland shot at the police. He hurt one police officer and killed another officer and his dog. After more than twenty-four hours of searching for him in the woods, he was found hiding. When told by the police to show his hands, they say he had the dead police officers gun in his hand. Nine of the ten officers shot at him. Over 110 shots were fired. Freeman was hit 68 times. The family claims Angelo had no gun on him. Wrongful death lawsuit has been filed. Freeland used many false names. Police think this is his real name, but they are not certain.
