Sarajevo is the main capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)

In Sarajevo there were about 297.672 inhabitants in 2003.

Not to long time ago, there was discovered some ancient buildings and monuments (2006) in the city of Sarajevo, it is still not clear, what it is precisely.

Sarajevo is one of the most multicultural cities. The city has mosques, synagogues, Catholic churches, and Greek-orthodox churches.

In the Balkan wars some of the city got destroyed, but most of it is still there or is rebuilt by now.

The Olympics in 1984 was held in Sarajevo.
