Irish people

The "Irish" are people who come or came from the Republic of Ireland or from Northern Ireland. A common stereotype is that they like to drink beer and whiskey and sing in bars. Irish people can look very different from each other. Some can have curly red hair and some can have straight black hair. An Offensive term for an Irish person is Mic. Irish people do not like it when you call them Mics. In Northern Ireland there has always been violent feuds between the Unionists, who claim to be British and are mainly Protestant, and the Nationalists, who claim to be Irish and are mainly Catholic. Irish people are always fun to be around and are usually quite friendly.
