Form VIII: Ri-Do/Telekinetic combat (Non-canonical)
Form VIII (Ri-Do) is powerful telekinetic lightsaber form created and employed by the non-canonical Force-Lords of Tanura. It is a powerful form that uses two or more lightsabers to create a highly defensive and agressive pattern of blocking and attacking. The user wields up to two weapons in his/her hands while using the Force to suspend multiple weapons in midair. It is most common for the user to wield two in his hands, and two in midair. He uses a pattern of blocking the enemy's attacks with the suspended weapons, then attacks with the hand-held lightsabers, then defends again. Alternately, he can use the suspended lightsabers to create a constantly spinning shield in front of him to defend from enemy fire/lightsabers, while he holds his other lightsabers out of the way. Like Form III it is often used to wear the opponent down, before opening up to a heavy offensive attack, using all four lightsabers to slash at the weakened opponent. To learn Ri-Do, a Force user must first master Form VI (Niman) and Jar'Kai, as well as telekinetic abilities. General Grievous from Revenge Of the Sith uses a style of fighting very similar to that of Ri-Do using his four arms. Form VIII requires a very powerful Force user to be used to its fullest stregnth, because of the extreme focus it would require to keep multiple weapons in midair during a battle or a duel. When used with Trakata, it can be especially deadly, if the lightsabers are ignited and disignited at appropriate times, to take the opponent by surprise, so he dosn't know where the next attack is coming from. Known practitioners of Ri-Do/Telekinetic combat: Lord Lanisreya, Calagus, Darth Traya/Kreia, General Grievous (similarly).
