F. Scott Fitzgerald

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (September 24, 1896 - December 21, 1940) was an Irish American writer. He wrote five books:

  • This Side of Paradise
  • The Beautiful and Damned
  • The Great Gatsby (his most famous book)
  • Tender is the Night
  • The Love of the Last Tycoon (he did not finish this one; some say it would have been better than The Great Gatsby if he had finished it)

Fitzgerald was an alcoholic, and died of a heart attack in 1940.
