[edit] Subst

Must I subst the template when I add it on a talk page?-- 贡献 Chat with Tdxiang on IRC! 10:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Problem

I have used the template, however I am having a problem this evening with it. An example can be found here. I like the way that the signature is now included on the template, too. Thanks. Billz 17:15, 5 July 2006 (UTC)‎

Should be working now, but you'll need to repost the welcomes if you've substed them. It was because it was already substituting the text when you add 'subst:', and then it tried to substitute the page name, which didn't need substing. Basically it tried to do the same job twice and got confused. Archer7 | talk 18:13, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
My signature on the message is still not working, even though I did not use the 'Subst' command in this instance. Billz 19:58, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I fixed it so that you could subst the template. It should work, it does in the sandbox. Archer7 | talk 12:14, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Protect

I fear that people may vandalise it. can someone protect it? Thanks.-- Tdxiang 10:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

If you use {{subst:welcome}} and the Welcome template is vandalised at a future date, the talk pages where the subst: has been used will not be affected. Please bear this in mind when using this template. Thank you. Billz (Talk) 10:51, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
