Big Brother

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Big Brother is the name of a reality television series that involves people living in a house for a period of time (often three months) in hope of winning a cash prize. The contestants are filmed all the time, and each is evicted, normally one a week, until there is a winner. The series was developed by Endemol, and the first season was shown in the Netherlands. The show's format has since been copied in over forty countries.

In some countries, there are also special editions of the show, for example Big Brother VIP, where all the housemates are only famous people or Big Brother: All Stars, with contestants from previous seasons.
