Flea (Michael Balzary)

Flea (Michael Peter Balzary) is an Australian bassist. He was born on October 16, 1962, in a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. He plays in the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He has been in the band since the start, in 1983 along with vocalist Anthony Kiedis.

Flea is known for his good bass style. He uses a wide range of bass guitar styles, mainly popping and slapping and changing the speed of his tempo during songs and his quick improvision. Flea also plays the trumpet in a few songs.
