The Clock Tower, known as Big Ben

Big Ben refers not to the clock tower itself, but to the thirteen ton bell hung within. It can be found at the northern end of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London, England.

Originally, Big Ben was just the name of the biggest bell (the one that strikes the hours). The name of the tower is officially the Saint Stephens Tower, Palace of Westminster. But most people, including Londoners called the tower "Big Ben" also, and if you say "Big Ben" today, most people think of the tower, not the bell. Big Ben is a very important tower of London.
