Sir John Grey Gorton (9 September 191119 May 2002) was the 19th Prime Minister of Australia. He was elected Liberal Party leader after Harold Holt disappeared. Gorton kept Australia in the Vietnam War. His party passed a vote of no confidence in him in 1971 and he resigned. He did not like the Liberal Party after this.
