Hitchhiking
From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hitchhiking is a way that people can get from one place to another. Usually, a hitchhiker (someone who hitchhikes) will stand at the side of a road sticking his/her thumb in the air, trying to get a car to stop and pick him/her up. The distance traveled by hitchhiking can be anywhere from walking distance to across a continent. Hitchhiking is against the law in many areas (especially around a prison). It is not a good way to travel, as it can be very dangerous.
