Conjunction

Conjunctions are words that join other words. The word and is a conjunction; it joins other nouns or verbs: the boy and the girl.

Three common conjunctions:

  • but
  • or

Coordinating conjunctions: join words of equal importance

  • for
  • and
  • nor
  • but
  • or
  • yet
  • so
