Samoan composers
From Wikipedia
Composers of Sāmoan songs or pese need to be recorded for all Sāmoans and researchers in Sāmoan issues and culture who are interested. Many old Sāmoan songs have been re-recorded by younger Sāmoan artists and singing groups today, but scant recognition have been given to acknowledging those who composed these songs. It is good and polite to acknowledge the source of the poetry, the font of wisdom and the realm of the cultural riches of fa'asāmoa that these songs contain, and the eras that they represent, yet have been changed in word, in pronunciation (poor especially by groups of Samoans born overseas but do not take the trouble and pride to pronounce the Samoan words properly!) and in the editing (unconsciously often) by some individual or group performers over the years without realising that the power of creation by the composers is an act to be respected and deferred to. For that reason please (if you speak Sāmoan) refer to pese and fatupese to add your knowledge of fatupese already listed.
