From Wikipedia

Hi Paa.kwesi, welcome to the Ewe Wikipedia! I understand that you're active at the Afrophonewikis group. I just registered there (I remember someone asked me to register back in August, but didn't really have the time until now). I'm most active on the English Wikipedia in the field of African languages and linguistics, which is where my involvement with some Afrophone wikis stems from. —

As you may have guessed already, a significant proportion of the regular contributors to this site know little or no Akan. We hope you can contribute, no matter what your language skills are.

Enjoy!

[edit] Translation Request

Greetings Paa.kwesi!

Since you are a fluent speaker of the unqiue Ewe language, I have expressed my Support of your admin request Here.

Can you please kindly help me translate this English article into the unique Ewe language?

The "True Jesus Church" is an independent church that was established in Beijing, China in 1917. Today, there are approximately 1.5 million members in forty five countries. The church belongs to the Pentecostal-Protestant branch of Christianity that emerged during the early twentieth Century. The church was established in Ghana since 1985 and in Togo since 2001. Christmas and Easter are not celebrated by the church since it has pagan origins. The church follows the "Jesus-name doctrine" instead of the Trinity. The church aims to preach the gospel to all nations before the Second Coming of Jesus.

The ten main beliefs of the church are:

  1. Holy Spirit - The church believes that "speaking in tongues" is evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit.
  2. Baptism - This is conducted in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ with the person's head facing downwards and fully immersed into natural living water.
  3. Holy Communion - This is the sacrament to commemorate the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  4. Sabbath day - Unlike most other denominations, the church keeps the Sabbath on Saturday instead of Sunday.
  5. Feet washing
  6. Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ, the Word who became flesh, died on the cross for the redemption of sinners, resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven.
  7. Holy Bible - consists of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God and is the standard for Christian living.
  8. Salvation - is given by the grace of God through faith.
  9. Church
  10. Final Judgment - The Lord's Second Coming will take place on the Last Day when He descends from heaven to judge the world: the righteous will receive eternal life, while the wicked will be eternally condemned

Any help at all would be very gratefully appreciated, Thankyou very much.
