Greetings from [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia Deutschland|WMDE]]'s [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/WMDE Technical Wishes|Technical Wishes team]]. Today we've deployed [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing|sub-referencing]] to German Wikipedia, our first pilot wiki. A great milestone after so many years of work!

We'll continue to improve the feature based on community feedback and want to deploy to other pilot wikis in the upcoming months, once we've solved a couple of issues affecting many non-dewiki projects. You are invited to try sub-referencing [https://en.wikipedia.beta.wmcloud.org/wiki/Sub-referencing on betawiki] in the meantime.

We are currently thinking about how we could improve VisualEditor support for templates in sub-references if that's desired by the community. Read more about it [[:m:Talk:WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing#Templates used in sub-references|on our talk page]] and share your feedback!

أرجو من حضراتكم التكرم بالمساعدة في رفع مخطوطات كتاب ([[w:عجائب المخلوقات وغرائب الموجودات|عجائب المخلوقات وغرائب الموجودات]]) للمؤلف أبو يحيى زكريا القزويني على موقع ويكي، وذلك بهدف المساهمة في عمليات النسخ والتحقيق وإتاحة محتواه للجمهور بما يتوافق مع سياسات حقوق النشر للمشروع.

المخطوطات التي نرغب في رفعها بصيغة PDF تجدونها في الأسفل، لذا ونأمل أن يتم ربطها بصفحة الكتاب على ويكي مصدر ليتسنّى للمتطوعين استخراج النصوص منها وتنسيقها.

In September 2025 we deployed [[:m:Special:MyLanguage/WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing|sub-referencing]] to German Wikipedia to make re-using references with different details easier. Thanks for piloting and helping to improve the feature!

We recently published our insights and next steps in [[:m:WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing/Learnings|our report]]. '''Some highlights''':
* Over 6,000 Wikipedia articles use the new feature, with a total of over 15,000 sub-references created to date.
* There are both experienced editors in featured articles (e.g. [[:de:Explosion des Oppauer Stickstoffwerkes]]) and relatively inexperienced VisualEditor users (e.g. in [[:de:Schmerzhafte Muttergottes (Guido Cagnacci)]]) using the feature. The majority of all sub-references (approx. 90%) are created in wikitext, yet over 300 editors have used the function in VisualEditor alone.
* Workarounds like &lt;syntaxhighlight lang=wikitext inline&gt;&lt;ref name=&quot;Miller&quot; /&gt;&lt;sup&gt;p. 44&lt;/sup&gt;&lt;/syntaxhighlight&gt; (in the reader view &lt;sup&gt;[1] p. 44&lt;/sup&gt;) have been replaced entirely by sub-referencing, which means that the complete reference information – including the page number – is now visible in both the reference list and in [[:mw:Special:MyLanguage/Help:Reference Previews|Reference Previews]].
* Sub-referencing is used with [[:m:WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing/Learnings#What types of details are contributors adding via sub-references?|lots of different citation details]] – predominantly page numbers, but also details such as chapters, paragraphs, quotes or video / audio timestamps.

* In VisualEditor, we have provided a feature to choose whether changes to re-used sub-references should affect all uses of the same sub-reference or only the one currently edited.

* We will deploy sub-referencing to additional pilot wikis next week: Polish Wikipedia, Swedish Wikipdia and seven smaller wikis ([[:phab:T414094]]). All of these projects have been notified in advance.
* We are working on technical adjustments to make sub-referencing usable in all wikis that use variants of the [[:en:Template:Reflist|&lt;nowiki&gt;{{Reflist}}&lt;/nowiki&gt;]] template.
* We are continuing to address community feedback: Among other things, we are currently exploring various ideas for visually improving reference lists with lots sub-references (e.g. [[:de:Liste der Straßen in Bad Honnef#Einzelnachweise und Anmerkungen]]).

على أنها صيحة في لحظة بَرَم ويأس فالشاعر قد حمل تبعات الهوى على كتفيه وكان منذ شبابه الأول صنّاجة المحبين يلمُ أمانيهم ويجمع أشجانهم ويمرّ بها على نياط قلبه فتطلقها أناشيد تحدّث العشاق عن العشاق وهو وحده يعرف مباعثها وأغوارها ويقول في ذلك:

وهذه الجراحُ الكامنة وراء تغريد الطيور ينطوي قلب الشاعر على مثلها فإذا سجع وغرد فمن فؤاد خلقه الله من شعاع ودموع وما هي نغمات ترسلها العقيرة وإنما هي قطرات من دم الفؤاد:

ذلك هو الطابع الذي يمتاز به شعر الأخطل الصغير في ديوان «الهوى والشباب».

والأخطل الصغير هو بشاره الخوري ولقد ذكر لنا في الصفحات الأولى من هذا الديوان لماذا تسمّى بالأخطل الصغير.

فللأخطل الصغير اليوم في الأمم العربية منزلة الأخطل الكبير في الدولة الأموية فما من بلد عربي إلا وله في نفوس أبنائه المكانة الرفيعة فإن لم يكن شاعر دولة بعينها أو شاعر أمير بعينه فلأنه شاعر الدول والأمراء أجمع وشاعر الأمة العربية جمعاء أنزلته من فؤادها في الصميم وجعلته فيه بين النخبة المختارة من شعراء القرن العشرين الذين تؤثرهم بالمحبة والإعجاب.

وكان للأخطل الكبير راوية اسمه جرير يروي شعره وينشره في الناس. أما الأخطل الصغير فله جيوش من الرواة فقد سار شعره على لَهَوات المغنين يتفننون فيه تلحيناً وإنشاداً وسار على أفواه المعجبين يتناشدونه في كل مدينة وقرية وهذا منّهى ما يصبو إليه الشاعر العبقري الصدّاح.

ولكن هل تقف المشابهة بين الأخطلين عند نصرانيّتهما ومكانهما من الرؤساء. لا نظن هذا وحده هو الذي أوحى إلى بشاره الخوري بأن يتسمى بالأخطل الصغير عندما اضطرته الأحوال إلى التكتم والاستتار فلا بد أن يكون بينهما تجاوب روحي حمل شاعر القرن العشرين على أن يختار اسم الأخطل وإننا لنلمس ذلك التجاوب في شعرهما الذي يصوّر لنا تشابه نفسيهما فكلاهما شاعر الهوى والجمال.

ومثل هذا التجدد في روْح القلب وريحانه يشعر به الأخطل الصغير ويسرّ به في قرارة نفسه غير أنه لا يلبث أن يصيح صيحة القوي المعتدّ بنفسه

وإمامته في الحب وسلطانه الأعلى فيه وعلمه الخفاق في شعر الحب كل هذا يلبسه هذا الثوب من الأثرة فيرشف ما يشتهي ويتسد حيث يشتهي غير حافل بما تحت الوساد من قلب خافق ونفس مضطربة فيحيى بن بقي الأندلسي لم يكن في مثل شجاعته عندما قال:

فإن صح أن يكون أحدهما التابع والآخر المتبوع فحريَ بأن يكون الشعر هو السيد المؤمر وعلى هذا فمن حق الشعر أن يتيه دلالاً على الحسن ففي يديه نشر صيته وبث محاسنه وفي قوافيه مقاصير الخلود يسكنه إياها منعماً متفضلاً فلله شاعرنا مفاضلاً بين الشعر والحسن مكللا جبين الشعر بغار السبق إذ يقول:

ولم تقف المشاكلة الروحية بين الأخطلين عند حد الهوى والجمال فقد تعدتهما إلى بنت الكروم وإلى إبداع كل منهما في وصفها حية ومقتولة.

لئن تأثر الأخطل الصغير أبا نواس وسميّه حتى [[مؤلف:الأعشى|الأعشى]] الذي تداوى من الخمر بالخمر إنه اتبع فيها مذهب الخيام الظاهر فإنما الحياة زجاجة خمر تحت غصن ظليل في قفر ووصال حبيب في هذا العمر الجديب وانتهاب فرص الشراب فالغد مجهول الحساب وفي هذا الغد المجهول يقول بشارة الخوري:

ولكنه لم يذهب مذهب [[w:ar:عمر الخيام|الخيّام]] فيما بعد الحياة فما طلب ـ بعد عمر طويل فسيح - أن يكفن بأوراق الكروم وأن يغسل بالسلاف الصرف الصافي وأن يدفن تحت دالية من دوالي العنب ولا طلب من المعرجين على قبره أن يسكبوا فوق عشبه وزهره كؤوس الحميا والمدام ولا هو حاكى [[w:ar:أبو محجن الثقفي|أبا محجن الثقفي الأسدي]] القائل:

وفي تلك الألحان التي جاءت تتساوق ونغمات الهوى والشباب يطالعنا أولاً لحن الوطن فالشاعر لبناني محتداً ومولداً ومنشأ فلا عجب أن يخص وطنه بنفئات الحب والهيام ويصور جماله الطبيعي تارة ثم يصور أحداثه السياسية تارة أخرى ويطلق الحمم في وجه المستعمر الغاصب وإليك جذوة صغيرة من شعوره الوطني الملتهب:
