The activities will take place on June 3, 2026. The activities are organized between Dalhousie libraries and the Department of Information Science in the Faculty of Management at Dalhousie University. The event will take place between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm Atlantic time in the Ko’jua Okuom Room, in the Killam Library at Dalhousie University. The Ko’jua Okuom Room is a special Indigenous gathering and student place. The contributions of participants will focus on Mi'kma'ki and Mi’kmaw peoples in the theme of arts and culture (local artists, authors, filmmakers, musicians, etc.). The event will include an instructional session on Wikipedia. Content related to Mi'kma'ki and Mi’kmaq peoples and culture is underrepresented in Wikipedia, with articles on key cultural activities, such as the game Waltes, absent, a lack of biographies of key figures, and there is a need to better organize content across Wikipedia.
