:@Rebulka: I think I have improved/added all tvar's on that page as needed. If I missed anything, please let me know. Thank you! --[[User:GVarnum-WMF|Gregory Varnum (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him]]] ([]) 20:47, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

Under the heading Browsers, we find:

Support for Internet Explorer ended on 15 June 2022, so this should be replaced with a link to Microsoft Edge: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge
Also, Firefox is the only one of these browsers whose underlying organisation even remotely aligns with the ideals of the Wikimedia Foundation, so it really should be mentioned first.

:Thank you for this note. I've updated the IE entry to Edge (in the subpage at Policy:Privacy_policy/Glossary_of_key_terms#Browsers). I'll pass along the feedback/recommendation for the ordering change (and I'll note to you and Legal that I personally agree with that recommendation). The definitions header of the introduction seems to be included in the previous section. This causes misalignment and it should use a separate /RHeader, similar all other section. I have not done so yet, as it will trigger translation changes. TheDJ ([]) 14:14, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
:Hi! Let me know if you need help with this from me. I don't entirely understand the problem, but I suspect this is just your "note to self" (based on the "yet"), and if that's correct then there's no need to reply to me with any details! [Save us both time!]. :-) Cheers and happy new year. Quiddity (WMF) ([]) 22:57, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
Question regarding the privacy policy
Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place, if not I'd be happy to repost this somewhere else or to email WMF. Before there were temporary accounts on nlwiki there have been made a lot of talk pages with information about the owners of the IP's if they were a business or a school. These pages have been filled with information about vandalism from those IP's or even complete ranges. An example can be found here. My question is if these should be deleted based on the current privacy policy, and the fact that temporary account data should not be public? These pages can't be updated with new information. My question is whether these pages still qualify for retention under the current privacy policy, considering that data must not be kept without a legitimate reason and should not be stored longer than necessary. Some of these pages also contain names of students or co-workers from 'funny' people who made a cyberbully page about them 10 years ago.
