Structured around five main hubs, we highlight the initiative led by the Open Knowledge - Citizen Science Hub in partnership with Wikimedia Brasil, which has just received public funding. Through this effort, the Hub will make available more than 90,000 digitized items from the Museu Paulista Collection over the course of the project, which will be shared across Wikimedia platforms such as Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource. As a project output, we will create a collaborative interface for disseminating historical manuscript documents—an open-source software tool for transcribing and integrating historical documents into the digital environment through a participatory citizen science ecosystem that interoperates with Wikimedia projects. This action consolidates a long-standing GLAM partnership, which has already shared more than 30,000 items and receives over 1.5 million views per month.
