In [[Menheerse]] had je de menheerse boot mit 'n motor d'r in, in de veerman zette je dan oover naer fort Lillo of 'n aor fort in dan mos je mar zieje dat je kwam waer je weeze wou. Laeter hadde ze 'n boot die op Zeêland voer in die passeerde dan [[De Plaete]]. De veerman stong dan al klaer mit z'n bootje in brocht je dan bie dat gróóte schip. Je mos dan mit 'n touwladder nae booven klimme. Mit haog waeter kwam de boótan de kante. Je kon dan in [[Dinteloôrd]] of in [[Wullemstad]] uutstappe. Je had nog 'n veerdiejnst van [[Herken]] mit schipper Verschoor één bie [[Ouwe Tonge]], dat was bie d'n hoek van St. Jaepe. Deze twêê veerdiejnsten gienge nae Schouwen-Duuveland.
