Castle Street in Cirencester, England on 30th August 2001. (Photo by Chris Jefferies)
This image shows a typical street scene in the Cotswold town of Cirencester. Castle Street heads west away from the Market Place, towards the nearby towns of Stroud and Tetbury. Notice the 'Black Horse' pub on the left, perhaps the oldest pub in the town. The building on the right, now a bank, is in the Palladian style and was originally the home of a wealthy wool merchant.
